Ah, Mother Nature

Last night, Jerry and I were outside in our yard and he was by the shed and said, "I think this is a cat face." I am intrigued by cat face spiders, so I went to look at it and sure enough, it was working on its web on the side of our shed. It is so cool. It is pretty small now and I got up close to it to see the details of its colors. I noticed two little horn looking things on its back. I said that to Jerry and he said to look closer because its hind end is in the shape of a cat face, hence the name, cat face spider. I don't know why I had never thought about it before, I guess that I figured their actual faces resembled a cats face. I want to keep it around because, from my understanding, they eat bad spiders and other insects.
A few days ago I was digging around in our shed and I noticed a new spider web between some things in there and it looked like a web that sparked my interest last year around this time. Last year, I paid it no real attention, but I hate spiders anyway and I made Jerry kill it. When he came to look at it, he said, "HOLY CRAP, THAT IS A BLACK WIDOW." Naturally when I saw this new web, it made my heart race. I looked around hoping that by some miracle, the spider had died, so I reached in to get what I needed, which by the way was near the web. It felt like something was watching be, and then something moved. I almost messed my pants, so I grabbed a garbage bag and reached in and grabbed what I needed. I shut the shed and refuse to open it until Jerry kills the monster.
When we discovered the cat face, I suggested that we feed the black widow to it, but Jerry said that the black widow would win..... So you are probably thinking why I am writing this long story, and I really don't know myself, but last night I had this terrible dream about, you guessed it, black widows. It was frightening. For some reason we were at one of my parents neighbors house and we opened the garage door and all of these baby black widows came flying out at us. They were landing on me and I was freaking out. Even though I was dreaming, I was reminded of a wives tale show that I watched on TLC years ago about this lady with a beehive hairdo and she discovered that there was a nest of black widow spiders living in her hair. When I remembered that in my dream, I started to freak out that they were going to build a nest in my hair. Luckily, I woke up soon after. It was creepy.
So that is a look into my very strange mind and my weird dreams. I am not sure why I felt like telling this story, probably because I am boring and have nothing else to write about. Sorry if it creeped anyone out. Talk to you all soon! Laura
