We are going to paint the walls in our house and I am stumped on what to paint the kitchen. I painted it a very bright red a few years ago, but I am thinking of painting it something that goes with the floor and counter tops, which are a dark green, a little better. I am thinking a neutral color, but what would go well in a kitchen? We have retro style table and chairs that are red. I am not a big fan of yellow- I think that it looks like ketchup and mustard with our table. Anyone have any suggestions?

I'm so excited that you get to paint your kitchen - you know me, I love to "paint it up"! The best thing that I have discovered, it to go to Lowe's or Home Depot and get 10-20 different paint samples and bring them home. When you find one or two that you like, go back and get about 20 more and tape them together to make one big square and tape it to your wall. You will be able to see what it will look like at different times of the day and in different light. When you decide, go and get one of the sample cans of pain, they are just big enough to paint a nice, big patch of paint on your wall, so that you can see it in real life, and they are only about $1.50. Good luck, I want to see it when it's done! I love your house, it's so cute and so you and Jerry! Love you.
P.S. to my last comment - how are you feeling? I'll bet you are a beautiful expectant mother! I love the little widget you have with the baby. Love you
i say go with a neutral color. and i also agree with barbara. Get a bunch of samples and see what goes best. Good luck!
Thank you Barbara and Val for the comments, that is a really good idea to get the samples and try it out. I tend to jump into things.
I am feeling good most days, I am excited to find out what we are having. I am getting a little bit of a pooch, it is finally starting to feel real!!! Love you all!
