So Jerry and I (mostly Jerry) started to replace the engine in the Blazer back in July and we have had a great time together and Jerry taught me a lot of things about engines. But I don't have good luck in most things in my life and I think that it is my bad luck rubbing off on the Blazer since we put in the new engine. Jerry and his dad have had nothing but trouble getting the engine started. They would try one thing after the other to try to get it started and nothing would work. Jerry took a half day today to give it one last try. He told me at lunch that if he couldn't get it started today, he would yank the engine and call a salvage yard and have them take it away. I told him not to do that yet, but give it a good last chance. He called me about 30 min. ago and he got it STARTED!!!!!!!!! The distributor was a tooth off???? Well whatever that means, but it is fixed and it works now!!!!! I wanted to get a video or pictures of it when it first started because it smokes really bad with all of the oil and paint and stuff, but oh well. I just had to share the good news!! (I think that he got it started because I am not there.... ;)

Take me for a ride!
Wahoo!!! I am so happy. I knew he would figure out what was wrong. And you are not bad luck. I think you are totally good luck.
LOve you Mom
You totally aren't bad luck. But good job Jerry (and Laura!) for getting it started!
I can remember the air turning blue when your grandpa Taylor was putting in new engines and trying to get them started!! But KUDOS for Jerry! Way to go!!
