Darn kidney stones

Since we haven't gotten enough of the ER this year, we thought we would go back... hahaha. Jerry gets kidney stones unfortunately. He usually doesn't have a lot of trouble with them, they usually hurt a little and then pass after a few days, but he has one that started moving around a couple of weeks ago and then decided to move a lot last Wednesday. He was in excruciating pain from 9 am to 7 pm. We decided to got the the ER to see if it was stuck or un-passable. They were supper busy, so they took some x-rays, gave him an IV and made him wait for a couple of hours. Finally the Dr came and said that it was passable and gave him some pain meds to help get the pain under control. We had to go to a Urologist the next day which was pointless because all that he told us is that it was a kidney stone the size of a corn kernel and that it will pass eventually. He took some natural stuff that is supposed to break it up- we aren't sure if it worked or not- the pain stopped after a while but it hasn't passed yet. Hopefully it will leave soon and Jerry won't have to deal with one for a while. Poor guy!
