Teeth clencher....

I am going to complain for a minute.... Lately I have had this really sore, achy tooth that has been bothering me. I thought that it was a cavity, so I went to the good 'ol dentist and when the assistant looked in my mouth, she kept asking, "what side??... what tooth??" so I started to think that it was all in my head. She told me that all of my teeth looked fine and that there was no cavity to be found. I was relieved, but kind of t/oed at the same time. I wanted an easy fix to make the pain go away. Then the dentist came in and said the same thing. He then asked if I clenched my teeth, which I do a lot, and he said that is what was wrong. He readjusted my bite by grinding a little bit of my tooth away, which stunk soooo bad, and then polishing it (I am sure that there was a lot more to it than I am saying, but this is just what I heard him say when he was talking to the assistant) and then told me to stop clenching my teeth because it could cause permanent damage in my jaw and me teeth. He also told me that the only time teeth should touch is when you are eating or swallowing. WOW!!! That seemed kind of weird to me, but I also always clench mine together. Oh well, maybe I need to not stress out about everything and the pain will stop. Enough of my whining, TTFN.

The dentist should have addressed the real issue: what is making you clench your teeth. In order to stop clenching your teeth, you may have to do the following:

1) Don't leave the house: there are annoying and frustrating people everywhere.

2) Kick the coffee drinking habit. This is probably making you more uptight. Have you ever considered drinking alcohol?

3) Eat more ice cream. This makes everyone happier.
